Vida Wellness Spas adds revitalizing new Asian treatment to its already comprehensive treatment menu : Vida Matcha Facial

So often a Skin Care Therapist will hear his or client say “I don't understand why my skin is so dehydrated because I drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day.” At Vida Wellness, our Skin Care Therapists will explain that our largest living organ, the skin, needs hydration from the inside and out. Consuming water will hydrate ones skin while also flushing impurities from the body however, a product that is rich in hydrating ingredients versus oil rich ingredients will nourish and plump up the skin on the outside to reduce the signs of aging, prevent blackheads and reduce sensitivity. Matcha Green Tea works in this way to hydrate and revitalize the skin.

Matcha is a tonic that delights the senses, purifies the skin , the body, and lifts the spirit. Added throughout your facial, this premium form of ceremonial Asian tea contains an abundance of vitamins and minerals offering deeper nourishing and revitalizing properties to the skin. Powdered matcha contains a high amount of Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), which increases antibody production and cell growth.

Matcha originated in China where it was prescribed as an herbal remedy for a variety of maladies. Monks have used it for centuries for increased energy, calmness, and mental concentration during their hours of study and meditation. The University of Kansas found green tea's antioxidants to be 100 times more effective than vitamin C and 25 times more effective than vitamin E in protecting cells from free radical damage. Studies also indicate that green tea may reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease and stroke, improve dental health, improve digestive function, protect against ulcers, catalyze weight loss, and normalize blood glucose levels.

Vida is well known for taking the traditional spa experience up a notch while also being at the forefront in new and emerging treatments in the spa industry. The Vida Matcha Facial is excellent for all skin types that require an immediate boost to cell respiration resulting in a healthier, brighter and more balanced skin.  In addition to traditional spa treatments, Vida Wellness Spa's signature Ayurvedic treatments blend ancient Indian principles to bring health and balance to ones mind and body.
